Electrical planning is not just about where the lights and sockets go. Start with how the space will be used
Before anyone talks cable sizes or switchboards, get clear on what the renovated space needs to do. A kitchen renovation has very different electrical demands to a bathroom upgrade, a home office fit-out or a workshop addition. The layout, the appliances, and the way people move through the space all shape the electrical scope.
This is where plenty of projects go wrong. People focus on finishes first and functionality second. They pick tiles, tapware and paint colours, then try to squeeze the electrical design around them.
