Start with how the backyard will actually be used
The right setup depends on the job. A small entertaining area may only need lighting, a weatherproof power point and a dedicated circuit for a fridge. A larger block might need power to a shed, garden studio, pool equipment, electric gate, water pump or granny flat.
Before selecting fittings, map out where people will sit, cook, walk and work.
